Alaska Rush Soccer Club has hired Eli Ulvi as its Technical Director.
“This is a huge step for the club,” Alaska Rush President, Colby Smith states. “Yes, the BOD without question, made a good decision. Eli has a very good background in club development and I am confident, with time, our membership will agree.”
Eli’s first coaching experience was with a U10 girl's recreation team. A few years later, he began coaching a multitude of teams and eventually became the Technical Director for Alaska Rush here in Anchorage. He and his family then moved to Bend, Oregon staying with the Rush organization, with Oregon Rush. He made the move to be part of a larger soccer environment and be closer to family living in Oregon. He later held the General Manager Position of the Washing Timbers Football Club in 2014 where he oversaw a broad range of responsibilities. Eli holds the highest level license this country currently offers, the United States Soccer Federation “A” License, as well as a NSCAA Premier Diploma among other certifications and credentials.
Eli is happily married to Dawn and they have three daughters, Gianna (9), Kaia (7), and Ava (almost 2). The entire family is excited to move to the Anchorage area and the Club looks forward to welcoming them.
“I am elated! It is very nice to be back,” Eli said with a smile. “I am glad I have had the opportunity to learn from some other professionals and directors these past eight years. I gained a lot of experience and look forward to bringing new ideas while building on the current efforts.”
Congratulations Eli and Go Rush!!!
