Rush Cup has been a celebration of Developmental Soccer for a number of years now. Rush Cup is a 2-day event for U6-U12 Boys and Girls Developmental (recreational) teams and is designed to give every team the opportunity to play in an exciting tournament-like atmosphere. Sportsmanship and fair play shall be emphasized above all else during this event.
This year's Rush Cup will be organized in a 'Festival Format' in which game results will not be recorded and there will not be semi-final or final games. Each team will be scheduled to play at least 3 matches. We hope in taking the emphasis away from winning, the result will be a more positive atmosphere for the coaches, spectators and most importantly the players; and the kids will come away with some fun and exciting soccer games.
We encourage every recreational team in Anchorage from any program to participate in the Rush Cup, and end the summer season with some fun and an exciting weekend of soccer for all. . If you have any questions or concerns about this event, please contact Robert DeVassie, Director of Coaching-Developmental.
