About the Developmental Branch
The Developmental Coaches manual is designed for our coaches in order to help bridge the three pillars; and, although this manual is certainly not all inclusive, hopefully it will give our members a solid foundation to build a healthy team and ultimately help develop players for Alaska Rush Soccer Club.
The Developmental Branch is made up of one main program, the Youth Academy. The Youth Academy has four divisions:
Little Kickers Division is for players ages 3-4 (preschool).
Micro Division is for players ages 5-7.
Bantam Division is for ages 8-10.
Youth Division is for ages 10-12.
All four Divisions use an academy approach that transitions them into league-play. The Bantam and Youth teams are formed and played in an intra-club league. For players who are seeking more competition, the club offers a Team Nike for the U10's and our Competitive Branch in which teams play other teams from other clubs. Players are evaluated and invited to Team Nike and the Competitive Branch, in which they compete at the highest level in Alaska.
